Melinda's project in a nutshell

Why should you become a volunteer too?

I spent 10 months in Spain working with people with disabilities. As the project came to an end, I can say that my life has changed. I got to know myself better and realized that I’m capable of more than I had thought. I became part of a community, learned a new language, and made lifelong friendships. Additionally, by helping the residents, I gained professional experience.

Summer itself is an adventure, but the summer I spent here was unforgettable. I worked in the mornings, and after a siesta, the afternoon program followed, which mostly involved going to the river or/ and having picnics with local residents and other volunteers.

The summer wasn’t just fun for me, but also for the residents: we organized trips and interactive activities for them, and the summer work went more smoothly thanks to the playful approach and long siestas.
