Baia Mare is mine volunteers' opinion – Georgiana

Georgiana was one of the 11 volunteers in Baia Mare is mine project, in autumn of 2022. Here is her opinion over the activities and her volunteering story.

I enjoyed working on this project due to the fact that I have learned new information about Baia Mare even though I’ve been living here almost my entire life. Creating the Baia Mare Guide added so many new details to my cultural knowledge about the city that I never realized I did not know. The most eye-opening experience was filming the time lapses as I realized the places I chose for the short videos are actually places that I see the most often while driving around the city. This really made me feel that Baia Mare is mine.
I got the chance to practice my English, French and Polish (a little bit), to try my hand at colouring magnets made from dough, to learn how to use Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva, but most of all I have made new friends that I will always cherish. The mentoring offered through the project has helped me understand how to make better use of my time, discover myself more, realize what is important in my life and I am grateful I had this opportunity. To many more experiences like this!
