Ana was one of the 11 volunteers in Baia Mare is mine project, in autumn of 2022. Here is her opinion over the activities and her volunteering story.
I have been volunteering in Baia Mare for the past three weeks. It was a very interesting experience and I got to learn a lot more about Romania, its culture and its traditions during this time due to the activities and tasks I was responsible for.
During my time as a volunteer here I worked on some very interesting projects. I searched for 365 facts about Romania. I tried to focus on mainly Baia Mare and Maramureș Region and during this research I discovered lots of things about the country that I didn’t know about before.
I made my personal project about Plăcintă. I reviewed some of the places around Baia Mare where you can find one. It was quite an interesting and delicious project. I also wrote a few articles about Romanian cuisine, folklore and mythology, as well as reviewed some of the hikes and viewpoints that I did in the past. - Ana
